I resigned as head coach for the cheerleading squad tonight and removed my daughter from the roster as well. She hated cheerleading and I just couldn't make her keep doing it - we were all miserable. I didn't make her do it - she asked to do it. She was supposed to move up a division this year but I held her back because they didn't have anyone to coach this team, so it fell to me. This was our third year in this program and up until this year, it's been great. This year has just been a terrible experience from day one with all sorts of added playground politics.
