Hmm, self-throwing chalk...sounds like a Weasley's Wizard Wheezes product for teachers. But that's only because Dumbledore bought the rights. Oh dear, there goes the bunny....

Yeah, I was thinking of Fred and George. Perhaps Snape, or one of the other teachers decided to pay the twins to develop the idea. Sound plausible?

Yeah. I was thinking more like McGonagall. I can't see Snape being within two hundred feet of Gred and Forge for any longer than he had to.

Yeah, although he could have seen them doing stuff while he was at Order headquarters, and had a brief aside. McGonagall would be a safer bet, though. She's really nice, secretly.
