Buffy season 7

Thanks to you guys who helped me identify that episode I was looking for earlier! :D Even though I consider myself a really huge Buffy fan, I admit I was not that enamoured of season 7 (which is why I have trouble figuring out where stuff comes from...lol) But I've decided that I'd like to give season 7 another chance. I bought the DVD's when they ( Read more... )

A couple of my favorite episodes from Season 7 are Conversations With Dead People, Lies My Parents Told Me, and the Anya-centric episode Selfless. The commentary for that episode is very cool as well.

I did enjoy the Seventh Season but then again, I haven't really met a Buffy or Angel episode I didn't enjoy. There are some I like more than others but I wouldn't throw any of them out.

I can tell you I preferred the stand alone episodes in Season 7 which tend to be early in the season before The First is introduced as The Big Bad. Then it got all soapy and Buffy preached alot, but I guess if I had a houseful of Potentials, I would get kinda preachy too.

Thank you so much for the rec's! I do remember that I liked Conversations with Dead People...That's at the top of my list! And I have to agree that the stand alone episodes were much better. I was cool with season 7 (just not completely impressed) until things started getting too potential centric and Buffy's speechifying got the best of me.

I'll also put the other two eps you mentioned on my list :) Lie My Parents Told me...That was the one with Spike and his mother?

I have to agree with the above commenter on Conversations with Dead People. I'm absolutely crazy in love with Holden. He had the potential to be just a total kick as villainous force during the season but obviously they did not choose to go that way. That ticked me off a little. But still it's my favorite episode ( ... )

Conversations with Dead People was a good one...I remember I liked that one, so I'm gonna watch that first! I completely agree that season 7 felt off somehow...All the characters felt wrong to me. I really couldn't put my finger on it though. I guess I felt like I knew these characters SO well and they just weren't like what I was seeing! Although, it's so easy to forget that they aren't my characters and Joss can make them however he likes...lol But I just wasn't feeling it the same way as in season's past. But see, at the time it was happening, I didn't really think I liked season 6 that much, but now, aside from a few eps, it's one of my favorites. I guess I'm trying to see if 7 can grow on me too...lol ( ... )

I did enjoy Season 7, probably not as much as some other seasons (my favourites are 5 and 6), but I still loved it. I would recommend Conversations with Dead People too, and I actually did enjoy First Date quite a bit. And Beneath You is one of my all times favourite ep.

Storyteller is a good episode too. Oh, and Never Leave me is top on my list for S7 episodes too. :)

Thank you for the rec's! I'm definately watching Conversations with Dead People cause everyone here suggested it! I do remember liking it...I enjoyed both Storyteller and First Date when I watched yesterday...I liked having Andrew around cause he made some otherwise depressing/sad stuff a little funnier at times. Beneath You was good but sad. I felt so bad for poor Spike. I'm gonna put the ep on my list though, cause I should watch it again. Which one is Never Leave Me?

Which one is Never Leave Me?

"Never Leave Me" may not be everyone's favourite, it's the episode where Buffy told Spike she believes in him? It's after Sleeper where Buffy found out that Spike has been siring all these people unknowingly, and he's now chained up in the basemenet. So around 7x09 or so.

Season 7 was okay... mrafrohead July 29 2005, 00:43:53 UTC
But the final episode sucked ass. Big time...

They seriously should have gone back with the episode where she was crazy and was coming out of it.

The whole series should have just been a "dream" and ended with her "waking up" from it.

That would have been a killer ending.

But NOOooooooo, they had to go and screw it up!!! ( By failing their driving exam...)
