Buffy season 7

Thanks to you guys who helped me identify that episode I was looking for earlier! :D Even though I consider myself a really huge Buffy fan, I admit I was not that enamoured of season 7 (which is why I have trouble figuring out where stuff comes from...lol) But I've decided that I'd like to give season 7 another chance. I bought the DVD's when they ( Read more... )

I have to agree with the above commenter on Conversations with Dead People. I'm absolutely crazy in love with Holden. He had the potential to be just a total kick as villainous force during the season but obviously they did not choose to go that way. That ticked me off a little. But still it's my favorite episode.

And I'm with you, I didn't much care for season 7. I mean it just felt so far away from everything else. Really I think that once Dawn came into the picture the show started to change in it's look and it's writing and story lines dramatically with each season that went by. I loved season 5, and most of season 6, but 7 was just too far removed from the characters, and even though the whole premise was probably the silliest and most boring arch or any season, it kinda felt too real at times, what with Xander loosing an eye and such. And then Kennedy? ugh don't get me started. She and Willow had no chemistry at all. She was a waste of space if you ask me...And I didn't even like Spike that much. on the other hand I loved him when he went to Angel, well once he could touch things that is :D

Conversations with Dead People was a good one...I remember I liked that one, so I'm gonna watch that first! I completely agree that season 7 felt off somehow...All the characters felt wrong to me. I really couldn't put my finger on it though. I guess I felt like I knew these characters SO well and they just weren't like what I was seeing! Although, it's so easy to forget that they aren't my characters and Joss can make them however he likes...lol But I just wasn't feeling it the same way as in season's past. But see, at the time it was happening, I didn't really think I liked season 6 that much, but now, aside from a few eps, it's one of my favorites. I guess I'm trying to see if 7 can grow on me too...lol

I LOVED the idea of the First, but hated what was done with it. It was dull...And Kennedy? OMG...yup, we agree on that one. Hated her. She was SO not Willow's type and I just didn't buy that Willow would move on so quickly when the love of her life, who she KILLED for and almost destroyed herself and the world for, had died. I wasn't even a Willow/Tara shipper and I was just disgusted by the quickness of her moving on and with someone I hated...lol
