i feel frozen.

i don't have words most of the time to express the "emptiness" i feel. and it makes me feel like a kid all over again. not in a fun five year old way. in an angsty, really irritating fifteen year old way.

part of this is the fast. i was just on a juice fast for about 3+ days (i don't say 4 because i was sleeping a lot,...and on the ( Read more... )

There's a lot in this entry that I can relate to. Fasting, although cleaning, takes a major tole on the body and the mind. Don't worry, you'll feel better in the hun, just a little jet-lagged! Hope all is well!

i do feel better. it took like 16 hours after sleeping to really not feel like hell. by the end of this entry i started feeling better, so it was really a deep, low mood swing among it all.

Well maybe the low is the key to the entire process.

Juice fasting is tricky. You need to drink freshly squeezed juice because pasteurized juices have already lost a huge percentage of their nutrients. Also, it generally takes more than 3 days to get over the initial discomfort (both mentally and physically)and start feeling better. Bread is one of the last foods you are supposed to add back into your diet after a fast, you should start with raw fruits and vegetables. I did the Master Cleanse for about 4-5 days, would have gone longer if finals didn't come up and throw me off. I felt horrible for 2 days and then actually started to feel noticeably better for the next few, it just gets a bit boring. Basically, if you do a juice fast you have to do it by the books and exhibit incredible willpower otherwise you'll wind up hurting yourself.

Has Mercury been retrograde again? Might partially explain why EVERYONE I've been dealing with to get matters for my job and Pagan Students' Community issues settled has been outrageously flaky and unhelpful.

it went direct on the 15th. effects won't wear off until the 4th, i think.

yeah, i suppose i didn't do my research. i did feel much better (and progressively so) as i ate more food. for a first try, it was a learning experience. next time i'll be more prepared and do it all out. it was super intense all the way through.
