ARS strikes again!

yes, once again ARS has me in its clutches. I have picked out all my blackwork and started it all over with a pattern I can and am holbein stitching. I know I said I wouldn't but that damned Anal Retentive Syndrome struck again

SOCD Sewing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Oh well - that's clearly what I have too then! I'm getting serious withdrawal symptoms as I can't make or work on my projects:

1. Blackworked etc smock - can't find or afford for 3 weeks the silk yarn I want to use (DON'T want to use plain cotton on this little baby!).
2. Bess of Hardwick Gown - is stuck at Glemsford with all the sewing bits and equipment and I can't get at it till this Saturday and possibly not even then!

I have a sick, sad addiction to silk threads and hoard it. I buy at least a little bit every time I see it. Mostly flat silk since I adore how it looks when you use it for embroidery.
