[His right hand is still holding onto the fabric of his shirt with an iron grip, while his left arm is simply there at his side. He doesn't even want to look at his lack of a hand, doesn't want to even acknowledge that it's gone.]

How did this happen?

[He pauses again, trying to calm himself down, trying to just think.]

[ just like she had with rachel, quinn's hovering. or sitting in another room close by. she doesn't really know blaine all that well or remember him from home, but he's from home and that makes him important in this world away from ohio and she feels obligated to help. to do something -- but one can one do after something like this? she'd found out belatedly, too wrapped up in her own self-indulged misery over beth and the tiny illusion of a grave she'd seen to notice his absence until it was too late.

[Blaine didn't even notice Quinn walk in at first, too busy staring at the empty stub on his arm that was once his left hand. It's strange that it's gone, but sometimes it still feels like there's something there, maybe that's what those phantom pains were that he had heard about when people would lose limbs.]
