Haha, what. I've never seen the Bicycle Thief, but I guess now I'll have to find it somewhere. But I do love The Lion King! Beauty and the Beast, Mulan and The Lion King tie as my favourite aminated Disney movies. :D

I'm sure the Bicycle Thief can deal with the hates, since we all know they just gotta hate.

LOL it's all on youtube. It's from the 40s, plus it's really hard to find in stores, so I suggest the intrawebz anyway.

I guess it's cause it's considered a staple of the Italian Neorealism movement. It's old and practically a required viewing for a lot of film classes. I guess she thought anything so widely known and studied cannot legitimely be a favorite. If I say it, it must be cause I'm trying to show my superior film tastes or something...
