Masuda Takahisa's MASTER HITS [07.27.12] Translation

Jul 31, 2012 06:37

A/N:When I was suppose to live-stream this, I couldn't find MBS on my Keyhole for some strange reasons, so it was weird o.O Anyhow, I personally enjoyed listening to this episode xD It's nice to know that they actually read a mail from Taiwan :D

Also if you noticed, there's always someone whose name starts with a 'Yu' sending mails on Master Hits. I'm sure a lot of you are suspecting something from this, ne? xD While I was translating this episode, I was surprised that there was no sender like that this time. There's one whose name is "Yuuko" but it's definitely not it. Go figure it out yourself as you read the translation xD

And I couldn't stop laughing at Massu's 26th birthday incident HAHAHA

Kame was in the studio and I loved how Massu integrated Kame in the show HAHAHA! I wish he spoke on air though xD Hahaha! AND WHEN MASSU SANG AND PLAYED THE GUITAR FIWHERIWHEIWHDIWEHWID THIS WAS TOTALLY A KILLER (♥ A ♥)

Okay, enough of my ranting xD

Enjoy~! ;D (Oh, I hope you got to hear Massu playing the guitar 8D /whacked for being talkative)

Masuda Takahisa's MASTER HITS Translation (07.27.12)

Massu: Konban-Masuda-Takahits! This is NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa. How are you all this evening on the last Friday of July?

As the temperature gets higher, it makes you want to drink soda. I also think so. It seems to be good for the health, so it’s popular.  It is also said to be a good energy booster compared to other carbonated drinks. It can also prevent you from overeating, so it’s good. That’s nice, ne? Lately, I like grabbing a transparent cup with lots of ice and drink cola. I’m also starting to like soda without flavor… carbonated water. I became a bit mature, ne? I use to not drink too much water, but I started drinking a lot. I guess next step would be carbonated water. There was a time I admired just carrying around the bottle of soda and lately, I’ve been doing those. So soda is good, ne?

Now, I would like to introduce some mails.

Bo-bo-chan from Taiwan: “Good evening, Massu.” Good evening. “Which do you like more from Taiwan, Xiao long bao or meat bun?” Eh~? When I went to Taiwan, I had xiao long bao and it was really good. So maybe xiao long bao. Maybe ‘Xiao long bao’, ne? (referring to the pronunciation xD LOL). When I had xiao long bao, I ate so much that they gave me a keychain. They were like, “Please do use it.” I like it. It would be nice to do concerts in Taiwan, ne? We’ll do our best to make it to Taiwan, so please do support us.

This is Masuda Takahisa on Bay FM’s Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits and I will keep you company until 11:30pm.

At the end of show, I will be giving a keyword, so please do listen until the end of the show.

Now, please listen to the next song: NEWS’ Chankapana.

Massu’s Brain Master~!

Brought to you by Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits on Bay FM. In this corner, I will be introducing some quizzes as brain exercises.

Today’s quiz is from Mika-chan from Gifu Prefecture: “Massu, good evening.” Good evening. “I have thought of quiz. What is something you can divide or multiply, but not add or subtract? Hint: Can you break it with one hand?” divide or multiply…?

So this is figures? Smart-type? *beep*

Hmmm, something like sauce? Add or subtract… divide and multiply… eh? What’s this?

Something you pour? Soy sauce? *beep*

Something like sauce… something like soy sauce… egg? *correct*

Ah, there you go! Ah, I got it! The right answer is egg. “I can’t break an egg correctly even if I do my best. I’m studying food inspection, so I’ll do my best to learn to break an egg.” I see. Egg. You can break it and pour it, but you can’t add or subtract. Egg is good, ne? I like egg. This was a good quiz. Thank you so much, Mika-chan.

And you all can be brain masters too. I am looking forward to your mails.

And here’s for our next song:  NEWS’ Full Swing.

This is brought to you by Masuda Takahisa’s Master Hits on Bay FM.

Now, I would like to introduce some mails.

First is from Kanapu-chiru-chan:  “Masuda-kun, Good evening.” Good evening. “Happy birthday!” Thank you. “How was the show of Haiiro no Kanaria on your birthday? If it’s okay, please tell us how it went.” Thank you so much!

The show on my birthday… well I’ve been in the industry for 14 years and I’ve never had a work where I get to see the fans or go up on stage or do live on the day of my birthday. It was my first time. I was happy.  More than uneasy, I felt excited.  “Oh, it’s really my birthday.” That’s how it felt.

In the set of the stage, there’s like a door that opens and closes (referring to something similar to a curtain, me thinks) and they brought the cake out from there and they were like, “Happy birthday, Massu!” after the play. And the audience also greeted me and I got to celebrate it with the cast as well. Everyone was happy.

On the 3rd, we were in Osaka and we got to have dinner together. After that with the cast and all the staffs, they did a countdown for me. We went to a nice bar and we all talked. And when it was like 11:59pm and some seconds left, they were all like, “It’s just a few seconds! 10…9…” and when it struck 12am, everyone greeted me. And I think Matsuoka-san planned this with the waiter or something. The waiter was dressed in tuxedo and came up to me with a bottle of champagne. “Happy birthday, Tegoshi-sama!” “EEEEEEEH?!!” everyone really cracked. I was really surprised. I thought it was just a joke since he was from Osaka and maybe they were just trying to add a gag, but it was a mistake he made seriously. And someone like the boss, a bartender who looked a bit older was on beside the waiter and I saw his face like, “HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” for real. So I realized, “Ah, this is real.” I was really surprised. But Matsuoka-kun was really laughing out so loud and he was like, “That was really bad.” I was really surprised. He was the first person who spoke to me personally when I turned 26. Everyone was celebrating and that guy came to me and said, “Happy birthday, Tegoshi-sama.” And “Ehhhh?!!” it was a really fun celebration. But that’s also part of a memory, ne? It’s a joke for my 26th birthday that will always be with me. I think it was one of my birthday gifts. It was a good joke.

So I would like to read more letters that talk about Haiiro no Kanaria.

Next is from Nachiko-chan: “The role that you play Fujii-kun has a lot of scenes where he expresses worry or anxiety. But were there scenes that you had a difficult time with? If there is, please share.”

Difficult scene? Hmmm… I wonder… there are scenes where I have to talk to myself fast. And I had a hard time getting use to delivering the lines naturally even if it’s already in my system. While delivering the lines, I forget and it gets cut, so even if I know the lines, I couldn’t say it right. At first, I kept repeating the lines but there were lots of times I stop because I make a mistake. I think it was hard because it was fast and I tend to eat my words up. In the show when Shige went to watch, I ate my words like 5 times and missed. But I don’t really realize I ate my words during the actual show, but when I look back at it, I realize I was eating my words up. So I ate my words. But it’s live, so these things happen. *laughs* These things happen! I’m a human, after all.

Next is from Yuuko-chan (HAHAHAH THERE GOES THAT NAME): “Job well done in the stage play Haiiro no Kanaria! I got to see the Osaka show. After I saw the play, the play felt heart-warming…”

Hmm?? Kamenashi-kun’s outside. Good evening. Good job! Hm? Ah, yes. Thank you. (I wonder what he said here? HAHA LOL)

*laughs* Where was I?

“…but as time passed, I forgot the melody of the last song. Can you please sing the song?” I thought this would happen, so I brought my guitar. I hope you listen. Kamenashi-kun is outside, so I’m more nervous. But I would like to prepare.

…here, I brought my guitar. Now, I will be singing the song that Fujii-kun dedicated to Kana-san in the last part. This is for the listeners and for Kamenashi-san who is outside the room.

(starts singing and playing)

This was Masuda Takahisa on Master Hits from Bay FM and it is about to end.

I played the guitar as promise to the Master Hits listeners since I promised that I would play on air one day.

And for keyword for the Chankapana original sticker, last week was “I will promise, listener-san.” So I would like to present the keyword for this week.

So here it goes: “I will promise you, Kamenashi-kun.”

There. Kamenashi-kun… “I will promise you, Kamenashi-kun.” Feel Kamenashi-kun. Write the keyword with your name, address and phone no.

On this show, we are accepting different mails: questions for me, love advice, brain master, things you love about Kamenashi-kun and many more. The address is mass@bayfm.co.jp.

We give an original sticker from the show to one sender every week. We will be waiting passionately for your mails.

This was NEWS’ Masuda Takahisa.
