Brother. [Sephiroth wasn't sure of the sentimentality mortals attached to such a term. Kadaj was more than a sibling, he was originally a piece of him. Either way it seemed fitting to address Kadaj as he knew Sephiroth, through lack of a fitting word to suit their connection than anything else.]
[To say that Kadaj did fully understand the term would be a mistake. They way he meant it was his own warped version, born from his quite inhuman kinship with the other Remnants and his connection to Cloud. Sephiroth did, in a way, fall into a different category, but Kadaj considered him a brother nonetheless. The eldest brother, who Mother favors. Hearing Sephiroth acknowledge him as a brother in return made him happy.]
[Sephiroth had always had an inkling of what Kadaj had looked like but had never known for certain, it hadn't been possible to have even eyes to see physical things with when in the Lifestream. Considering Sephiroth couldn't have even known how his trick of creating the Remnant in the first place should have turned out, he was pleased how it had turned out. Kadaj looked not so-much like a younger version of himself, but there were indeed startling similarities. Sephiroth wondered how deep these similarities went, one was most definitely not a clone of the other.]
It's good to finally see you. It is not our first meeting, after all.
