Every so often when I get blocked, I realize that the actual problem is that I'm hitting the invisible wall between "if I squint, this is plausible" and "welcome to my id, it's goddamn creepy". It took two hours from the moment Adam woke up to the time they got free of the tiny, filthy basement they'd been left in. There is a fabulous vampire bandom one where two of the members are essentially domestic paired serial killers with a d/s relationship. They kidnap one of the other band members for a pet. Really really well-done. One of the stories featured them getting a kitten. It did not end well. The series really went there, but there was a sharp edge to the writing that made it work. The characters had a surface caring undercut by this yawning void of black.

Have you read neery's Courage? Johnny/Evan vampire captivity fic which exactly hits my kink, but admittedly doesn't go to the really dark psycho place. It has wonderful captivity hurt/comfort and hot blood-drinking sex through.
