Every so often when I get blocked, I realize that the actual problem is that I'm hitting the invisible wall between "if I squint, this is plausible" and "welcome to my id, it's goddamn creepy". Believe it or not, sociopathic AUs are not my purest id, and when people talk about my fic that disturbed them, they're not it either; that's the shit I

Megan nods, nose wrinkling slightly; Anoop looks more dubious. "We can't just go back to LA without knowing what's going on," he says, taking a seat at the small table, catching himself before his elbow gets in a pool of half-congealed blood. "I mean, how would we--"
"We go talk to one of the people who planned this." The cult's laptop had had some surprisingly familiar names in their email exchanges and on their cellphones, which really makes Adam regret that entire killing them thing. At least until he knew the right questions to ask. "I want some answers, and we're sure as hell not getting them hiding out in the greater Midwest."
"Think we're ready?" Matt says, but he doesn't look too worried, and Megan's nodding hopefully.
"The others," Allison starts unhappily, scratching dried blood from the worn table; she misses them, too. "How will we--"
Adam grins at her. "I don't think finding them will be a problem," he says, bracing his feet on the edge of her chair.
Megan straightens, leaning forward eagerly. "Danny talked?"
Sadly, Kris-specific information was really lacking, but as it turns out, this is almost as good. "When they got away, they went straight to Fuller. He'll know where they are."
Allison twists around in her chair, eyes wide. "Did you tell him--"
"He didn't believe me," Adam says regretfully, then shakes it off and looks on the bright side. "Whatever. I'm sure he'll believe Fuller when he explains why he set us up. And maybe what the fuck is going on."
Megan frowns. "We're still going to kill him, right?"
Adam may not regret what happened, but it's the principle of the thing. "Eventually. But not until he begs us to." Standing up, he jerks his head toward the door; outside, the sun is just sinking into the horizon, and even if he can't see it, he can feel it. "Get Danny; it's time to go."

There is a fabulous vampire bandom one where two of the members are essentially domestic paired serial killers with a d/s relationship. They kidnap one of the other band members for a pet. Really really well-done. One of the stories featured them getting a kitten. It did not end well. The series really went there, but there was a sharp edge to the writing that made it work. The characters had a surface caring undercut by this yawning void of black.
Have you read neery's Courage? Johnny/Evan vampire captivity fic which exactly hits my kink, but admittedly doesn't go to the really dark psycho place. It has wonderful captivity hurt/comfort and hot blood-drinking sex through.
