Park Chanyeol is far from your average teenager. Granted, he's a head taller than everyone else, with a smile that makes people's hair stand on end and a voice that puts Choi Minho to shame, but that's besides the point.

Chanyeol is a frog whisperer. Simply put, he speaks to frogs. He understands them, and vice versa. These amphibians are his best friends and unfortunately, for this reason, they are also his only friends.

He spends his afternoons sitting on a park bench, holding extended conversations with the friendly flycatchers living by the pond and looking like a complete lunatic. All the frogs he's ever talked to are a typical green or brown, so he gets a bit of a shock when a black-and-yellow one bravely approaches him one fine day.

Its striking colours scream toxic, but Chanyeol decides that a little chatting can't possibly do much harm. "Hello there, little one. I haven't seen you before. My name is Chanyeol! How do you do

When Chanyeol opens his eyes, he nearly has a heart attack. The tiny black-and-yellow frog from earlier is sitting on his chin, bulging eyes trained on him with an alertness that seems nearly human.

Holy shit. Toxicity alert. How is his skin not blistering and peeling off his face right now? He hardly dares to move a muscle, afraid of somehow pissing off the creature and ending up with a faceful of poison. All he can do is hold his breath and stare down at it, silently pleading for it to get the hell off my face because I am too young to die.

Before Chanyeol can react, the frog hops forward, plants its webbed feet on either side of his lips and presses its mouth to his with a surprising amount of force for a puny amphibian.

Chanyeol has a brief vision of the Brothers Grimm turning over in their graves.
