I really love this. Catherine not being brilliant but working hard to make up for it, using study as a means to an end and discovering it as an end itself, the slow friendship and what WE know of Susan that Catherine doesn't, and how it all makes sense. Stunning, this, and a very thoughtful piece.

Oh, but that's marvelous. My knowledge of the Narnia canon is basically limited to the first movie that came out a handful of years ago, but even from what little I know of Susan there this pings--and an excellent bit of backstory for Catherine too.

This was absolutely fantastic! I wasn't sure how you would fit Narnia with Stargate, there are many many possibilities, but I like this one very much. I love the Catherine your created. The series gave a few snippets here and there of what she was like, and I like what you've done with them, how you've described her struggle and desire to cope with the loss of Ernest and how in a way, she and Susan help each other.

Thank-you! It took me FOREVER to figure out how to combine the canons without destroying the integrity of either timeline. It's sort of embarrassing how long it was before I kenned on that yes, there WERE Stargate characters kicking around in the time of the Pevensies. :)
