Gardening and Yard Work...

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me, I have become totally obsessed with gardening. I guess it started because the poor state of my front and back yards compared to my neighbors and my inherent lack of willingness to spend money on a professional landscaping company led me to start doing stuff

that sounds so amazing! you really should take pictures, i'd so love to see.

matthew and i have the same problem as you had. we don't do anything to our front or back lawn, barely even cut grass and trim hedges. we'd love to do more, but any time we've had any house plants, well, they die. not because we don't try, we probably try too hard. but, alas, we have black thumbs of death. argh.

It's a lot of hard work though. I am particularly proud of my daylilies. Looks like they will be blooming soon. I am not sure I will be seeing any peony blooms this year because the plant still looks pretty small

yes, you definitely need sunflowers. they're my favorite. :)

I will try to sow some seeds along my veggie garden border and see what happens. I shall keep you posted!
