Yeah, there's really no way around it..that's about as phallic as it gets.

Mead is good but, it's easier to drink more because it goes down so well, I'm not entirely sure this is a bad thing.

Good for you :) I drank incredibly cheap beer last night because it was all there was, and I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. I think what kills me the most is the whole time I'm drinking it, I was thinking.."this sucks.." but..that did not stop me from drinking it.

Yeah, I just can't get past the big phallic knob either. But a slab of honey mead would do it. It's almost tournement time and I've still got mead unopened from last year...

Yes, I have been greatly distracted by the Liqueur Port. So warm and smooth and .. mm.. perfectly wintery.

Goddamnit, I've been there too, but it seems I have to redo that whole trip... Seriously, I didn't see the carvings in the mound and such. Goddamn, our professor doesn't seem that professional at all now, he didn't lead us around that well. It's always better being able to take as much time as you want yourself. *grr*

theres not that much there. its important cause it was the political (not spiritual) capital of ireland and was also the site of political protests during the independance struggle and catholic emancipation. hence the church and the IRA monument on the site.

once again POLITICAL not SPIRITUAL im shouting at the person with the drum when i was there

I remembered that, about being the political centre! Sometimes I did pay attention too, yes yes.

Hmm... Any chance the one with the drum was one of these in the picture dressed in white? http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3048/2562063531_ed7a16257e_b.jpg
