Funny how Anders was having the same kind of focus issues today, and for the exact same reason. Funny how he was the same kind of mopey, too.

He'd slipped out to Phoebe's favorite spot at Selkie Cove, and once he'd gotten comfortable he pulled out his phone and dialed her number.

Phoebe was distracted, so she didn't even look at the Caller ID as she picked up the phone. "Halliwell."

"My favorite Halliwell," Anders answered. "Hey . . . it's me."

He had a feeling she would know why he was calling.

And there went all pretenses right out the window.

"Hey, you."

Eve was trying to plod through her homework and had quickly given it up as a bad job for the time being. And so she grabbed her cell phone and called Phoebe.

"You know your last name! Go you!" Yes, Eve was being weird. No real surprise.

Phoebe laughed. "See what a college education can do for you?"

"Hey, sweetheart," Cole said, coming up behind her and planting a kiss on the side of her neck. "What're you working on?"

Phoebe smiled and leaned into him. "Report for demonology. Not going so well."

Cole frowned. "You're upset about something," he said.

Phoebe gave him a sad smile. "Not upset really, just wish that there are some things Fandom High never showed us." She loked at him. "Do you ever think of the kids Fandom gave us and then took away?"
