Eve was trying to plod through her homework and had quickly given it up as a bad job for the time being. And so she grabbed her cell phone and called Phoebe.

"You know your last name! Go you!" Yes, Eve was being weird. No real surprise.

Phoebe laughed. "See what a college education can do for you?"

"No kidding," Eve agreed, laughing. "I'm bored. Entertain me?"

Considering Phoebe had just come off of a crying jag, she wasn't sure how entertaining she could be.

"Threatened your daughter's boyfriend lately?"

"Now that you mention it, no. I really gotta get on that." Except not really. Johnny was pretty okay in Eve's books now, after the plague incident. Which didn't mean she couldn't give him a little shit now and then.

"How are you feeling, Eve? I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you guys."

Yes, Phoebe knew all about the plague.

"Remarkably plague-free. And I'm glad you weren't here," Eve said firmly. "We lost one person, even if I didn't know him at all. There's no way I would've wanted to run the risk of losing you, too."
