I am going to have to start avoiding news articles and websites for a few days because it is just making me too sad. Especaiially when I read that a third of the victims are children. And fishermen who left to fish in the morning and never returned; a risk all fishermen take every day they fish, but no one expected that none would come back ( Read more... )

I got a newsletter from my medical group the other day. On the front page was a short article saying that one that one of my obstetricians had passed away. No details, just his picture (fiftyish, with a grey beard and hair, and fairly thick glasses), and that he was kind, gentle and unselfish. I just heard Mr. Rogers passed away. I'm a little sad - I used to watch him as a kid. I always liked the way he came in and fed the fish, and was fascinated by the way the trolley went through a hole in his wall and came out in make-believe land.
