Clearly, it has to be bananas that are only just turning blotchy, because they're sweeter and squidgier. Bah, I really want a banana now...*hunts fruitbowl*

Of course if I was frying it I'd want it green. But I assume you're talking about raw bananas which is how I usually eat them.

I'd go for slightly squidgier if I was baking them in things maybe, or having them in custard, but IKWYM.

I notice the answers are a lovely distribution.

When I have posted a poll with 5 or more graded options it has become a textbook example of normal distribution curve, gradually smoothing out.

Banana smell and softness are horrid, give them to me green!

I didn't actually mean the last, but I did not eat bananas for about 10 years having nearly choked on one.
