Psh. Last time was a rather big misunderstanding, that's all. ♥

Ahhh, I know. Me too. I hate the idea of doing it. But unfortunately, it's medically necessary at this point. He's scratching his face up so badly that both the vet and I are seriously concerned that he'll do permanent damage to his ears/eyes/nose/etc., and we can't figure out how to deal with the itch. It's been two years now, nothing works (I've taken him to the vet countless times over it, and three different vets as well), he's figured out how to scratch around the cone collar (*facepalm*) and it just keeps getting worse. A couple months ago he scratched his ears up so badly that they actually swelled closed and he was mostly deaf for a couple of days.

The only option at this point is to have his back claws removed so he can't hurt himself anymore. I've really agonized over the decision to have it done, and have taken a year waffling over it and hoping things would get better, but they keep getting worse instead. It doesn't make it better, and I would never, ever ( ... )

Have you tried those soft-paws things? I don't know if you've tried those, but they seem like they would work.
Also, I believe you mentioned it was due to a seasonal allergy, but how about allergy medication for him?

Just throwing some things out there C:. I'm not sure if you've tried either of these options, but it's worth looking into I believe.

How did you like Foundations? I've heard mixed reviews so far and would like input I trust!

I really enjoyed it. It's not my favourite of the Valdemar stuff, but it was really good anyway. It ended in a bad place though, so it's obvious she's planning at least a sequel, if not a trilogy. ♥
