I had it pointed out to me by the helpful people at houserabbits that pine bedding is bad for rabbits (I knew about cedar, but I didn't realize pine was bad for them as well); so a couple of days ago I picked up some nice paper mulch bedding for them, and they seem to really like it, so we're all good

It always amazes me that overseas there's all this stuff about pine (and other types of) sawdust bedding. Over here there's only one kind of sawdust bedding available. Its doesn't say what kind of wood its made from (although it does say "dust extracted" which I know is part of the problem). It makes me wonder if the sawdust we get is better or worse for my animals (though I haven't had any related problems to my knowledge) o_O;;
