He closed the TARDIS door and headed straight for the console.
Only when they were travelling again did he let it get to him. He had wanted to run to her, hold her in his arms, and promise her that no matter what happened this regeneration she would still be his Sarah.
But he couldn’t do it. He kept his distance partially to retain his sanity and partially to let her live her life. And she had lived her life without him - investigating strange occurrences, saving the world, and now raising her son.
She would always be his Sarah.
