Right? And apparently he said it in one of those condescending pseudo-fatherly tones (he's probably in his 50s or so, she's a year out of college like me). 9_9
Also, hi! I am still the worst at work/sleep/food/computer-life balance, but I seriously miss LJ and you, and how are you--back at school by now?
Aaaalso, I seem to remember that you've read a good amount of Agatha Christie. Do you have any favorites you would recommend? I've read And Then There Were None, and just finished The Mysterious Affair at Styles and Curtain (apparently the first and last Hercule Poirot stories), and otherwise I'm faced with returning to mediocre YA fantasies that involve annoying teenage love triangles.
Third year? Just like Lee (slash-Sumomo-slash-May-slash-Faithhopenluv or whatever her LJ name is), who just started the same. It doesn't seem possible for either of you. And then I see the birth dates of kids at my job and realize that kids born in Y2K ARE NOW TEENAGERS and seriously how does that happen. I'm over at Dreamwidth-ish (as you've seen) which is probably going to take me a bit to configure, but DW/LJ are probably the bests bests for staying in contact
( ... )
Apparently, this is a thing? Guitar Girl's sister, another roommate, had a blood drawn for something, and they performed a pregnancy test--completely unrelated to whatever the real issue was--without telling her, too. Or believing her when she said she wasn't.
People seem to have babies on the brain when it comes to young women. My freshman year of college, a woman in a church choir asked me if I had any kids. Startled, the first thing I could think of was no, I was 18. She said, "Well, you can never tell these days."
SPECIAL. Yeah, people keep not believing me when I say I'm not pregnant. Even when I say I can't possibly be pregnant because a) never did anything and b) would only have sex with girls anyway. Just. No.
Just now checked my flist, and I had to comment, even though two days late. My icon sums up my reaction to Farmer's statement. IDK how I would have reacted, in Guitar Girl's place. Probably blinked at him, then laughed uproariously. :P
LIke the person above me said, great to see you on LJ! *hug*

Also hey, it's been literally forever and a day. c: It's nice to see that you're still on here every now and then.
