I was thinking that ten years is such a long time - and then I realised it's been about ten years for me too. Why is 1999 suddenly such a long time ago?

I don't know. Perhaps it's because it's another millennium? Or we're aware that we're getting towards the end of a decade so dates in the previous decade are getting a long way away?

Or admitting that we were doing anything in 1999 sounds like we're getting terribly old?
