Some days it just isn't going to happen. Today was one of those days. I started off heading into the city to grab a micro at O'Donnell Square. When I got there,. my GPSr was acting really crazy. that pagoda freaks me out a little bit. like why is it there.

The hill the pagoda is on used to be lined with 100 cannons and the pagoda itself acted as a viewing tower to warn of any military attacks. The land that Patterson Park is on played an important role during the civil war, although the pagoda was not built til 40 years afterwards, actually as a tribute to the battle of Baltimore in 1814. Some of the cannons are still there. There is a single spiral staircase inside. I wish I could have went up to the top.
