My mom called yesterday FROM THE HOSPITAL. She has been admitted because she was having a really hard time breathing, so they had to do the whole oxygen dealie. Whats really wierd is that she sounded incredibly upbeat and happy, except for the part where she had to use the bathroom, but they had wrapped the line coming from the rollaround IV drip

This must be so stressful for you. It's a crazy addiction when a person continue to use even though they know it's killing them. Has she ever tried therapy or counseling? Will you be able to visit her any time soon?

If she went to therapy or counseling it probably would only make her mad if they tried to help her with the smoking. I mean, she HAS tried to at least slow it way down, but she is pretty adamant about it being something she needs and something she enjoys. If things work out right I should be able to go visit her in about three weeks...thanks for asking.
