Thinking About My Beliefs -- Witchcraft as European Shamanism?

In the book I'm currently studying, The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft, Penczak claims that witches were the European shamans during the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and on into modern times.

I had some issues with The Shamanic Witch, but still gave it a four out of five :)

Hehe, beat you to it... I read your review on it a few weeks ago; it's one of the books I decided to buy based on your review and my own liking of her other book. ;-) Thanks! It's always nice getting other opinions, especially from those who know what they're talking about!

Based on your review, which I just re-read, I'm updating this entry to include some thoughts about mixing core shamanism and witchcraft, and why I think it's OK.
