Last Thursday my job application status went from "Received" to "Being Reviewed by Committee".  I checked this morning and it's the same.  So now I'm focusing on seeing the next updated status as something to the effect of "Requesting Interview".  Hopefully VERY soon ( Read more... )

Well, I'm busy reading The Shamanic Witch by Gail Wood, and I have to say I like it, for the most part.  I like some of the ways she uses to meld witchcraft and core shamanism so that they work together.  Like Penczak's book, it seems to me that blending the two DOES give the shamanism a cultural context, albeit not a 'traditional' one.  I  ( Read more... )

In the book I'm currently studying, The Temple of Shamanic Witchcraft, Penczak claims that witches were the European shamans during the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and on into modern times.
