It's a holiday where everybody goes around givin' sweets, flowers, cards, and other stuff to people they love! 'Course, only the really popular people get lots of stuff, so it's sorta like a contest, too!

...

[That's...sort of sad. If Teta was in Ivalice, she wouldn't have exactly been the most popular sort.]

I see. So it is a holiday that celebrates affection, then.

Yeah, but it's mostly about the sweets.

Like, about 75%.

The rest is all love, though.

It's a holiday where people show kindness and affection for another.

Honestly, it shouldn't be any different from any other day but, it's a well planned marketing strategy.

...It would seem so.

Still, it is a wonderful idea to dedicate a holiday to such a feeling. In Ivalice, we had nothing akin to this--we had naught but religious holidays.

You're certain? The full name is St. Valentine's Day. I can't honestly say I've read all the information on it but, that is how it is.

I suppose it is, but, why can't anyone show that sort of affection any given day?

'twould seem to be a romantic holiday of some sort, meant for expressing love to one's partner of choice.

It's a little confusing depending on where you are. In Korea we have a holiday on the 14th of every month dedicated to love. V-Day is just the one in February.
