"Ahaha...Horikita-san is funny." Tomohisa grinned, but he was relieved when she made light of it. Looking around, he had to agree with her. It was a very lovely restaurant.

Offering his arm, he grinned. "After you, my lady!"

"You think I have an incredible smile? I don't think anyone has ever said that to me before." This time, it was Tomohisa who felt his cheeks brighten in a rosy blush.

He couldn't help himself as he wrapped his arm around, pulling her close. She felt...right, leaning against him like that. Like she belonged there.

"I do think that...and if no one's said it to you before, then I'll make up for it by telling you that every day." She grinned at him, enjoying the bashful look on his face. "If for no other reason than to make you blush."

Maki was surprised with herself, and the way she was behaving, but somehow everything felt comfortable with him. She wasn't nervous like she often was around people she didn't know very well (which would be pretty much everyone in this city). When he pulled her close, she didn't resist, instead finding herself fitting snuggly against him. She sighed happily; if she was dreaming, she didn't want to wake up just yet. While it felt extraordinary to her, passersby around them thought nothing of the way they were cuddled together. They looked like any other young couple.

Before she knew it, they'd arrived at the movie theatre. She tried to hide the fact that she was a little sad that their walk together had ended. "Oh! Looks like were already here, Yamashita-san."

"Un." Tomohisa wasn't sure if he was glad or sorry to see that they'd arrived. He'd been enjoying the time talking to her while they walked to the theater.

He paid for two tickets, and once they were inside, he couldn't help but grin at her. "Should we get popcorn and all that stuff?"

Maki blinked at him for a second before giggling a little. "Yamashita-san has a very good appetite, ne? I'm still full from dinner, but if you'd like some popcorn, I might eventually be tempted to grab a little from your bag."

The theatre was quite crowded, with lots of people milling about. For some reason, the large crowd made Maki a bit nervous. She couldn't quite place why that was the case exactly, but found herself staying close to him, even grabbing his sleeve for extra security.

"Nah, maybe later." Tomohisa instinctively wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. He told himself that he had his arm around her so she wouldn't get lost, but it sounded lame even to his ears.

"We should be inside soon. I didn't think there would be this many people here today."

"O-okay..." Maki wondered if she really sounded as nervous as she felt. The arm he put around her helped a lot, and she was glad for it, unconsciously shifting closer to him. "I guess the movie must be really good." She gave him a small smile as she head in to find some seats. She'd feel better once they were sitting.

"It must be with all these people." He was glad to see the doors opening, and people filing inside. Keeping his old on Maki, he gave her a good-natured grin before leading the way into the theater.

It was pretty dark, but he could see well enough. "Where would you like to sit?"

"Anywhere is fine..." As long as it's with you... Despite how good them movie was supposed to be, Maki wasn't sure she'd be able to concentrate on it with him sitting right next to her.

In the end, the seats they found were almost all the way at the back of the theater. She sat down and let out a relieved sigh. "I was wondering if there was going to be space for us." There had been a lot of single seats all over the theater, but Maki definitely didn't want to sit alone.

Neither did Tomohisa. Since they'd chosen the back, they also had the luck of being nearly alone, since most people were moving to the front of the theater.

He pulled the seat out for her and sat next to her, giving her a happy smile. Taking her hand, he laced their fingers together as the theater became dark as the movie began.

She took her seat beside him, and smiled back. Not one of her work smiles, but a genuine one. She hadn't always liked working at that restaurant, but how could she dislike it now that it had helped bring Tomohisa into her life? It had been so long since she felt these sorts of butterflies in her stomach, or felt so connected to another person.

Speaking of butterflies, she got an instant case of them when he took her hand. She found herself trying to memorize the way it felt to have their fingers laced together like that, the warmth of his palm against hers. She turned to glance at him one more time before turning her eyes to the screen.

He saw her look, but only because he wasn't looking at the screen. He could hear the movie in the background, knew what was going on, but only in an abstract sense. Most of his attention was focused on the woman beside him.

He took in everything about her. Even in the dark, he could see her facial expressions, smell the perfume she was wearing, feel the softness of her skin as he held her hand. It was odd, but he'd never been this physically aware of a woman before in his life.

Maki did her best to concentrate on the movie, and not on the man sitting beside her. It was hard not to notice little things, like the slight rumble in his voice when he laughed, or the faint scent of his aftershave. But the movie was soon compelling enough that she got wrapped up in the story.

At a particularly suspenseful part of the movie, Maki gasped while reaching for his arm, clinging to it. After the moment passed, she let out a small sigh of relief before she realized what she'd done. A little embarrassed, she turned to look at him to see if he had noticed, or if he was upset by it at all.

Like a deer caught in headlights, Maki found herself completely under his spell, and couldn't seem to turn away once she had looked at him.

Wow....

Wow indeed. A part of Tomohisa wanted to turn away, embarrassed at being caught staring. But once her eyes locked with his, there was no turning back. And he certainly had no intention of going back now.

He shifted so he was facing her, his other hand reaching out to cup her cheek. The thumb of his finger brushed over her cheeks, marveling at the softness. Te skin of her face was just as soft as her hands.

His eyes fixed on her lips and he wondered if they were just as soft. Not really realizing what he was doing, he leaned in, his lips just barely brushing against her own, as if he was just seeking a small taste.

When their eyes locked, everything seemed to melt away. Movie? What movie? Maki had completely lost track of everything except the two of them. And then he was touching her cheek, and his face was drawing closer, and Maki held her breath as she wondered if he was about to kiss her. Had she remembered where they were, she might have pulled away. Instead, she was completely taken in by the moment, letting her eyes slip closed as his lips brushed hers. Without realizing it, her lips continued to seek his, returning his featherlight kiss with a gentle one of her own, and somewhere in the back of her mind she decided that being with Tomohisa like this felt like heaven.

When she didn't pull away, he took that as a sign and deepened the kiss. Wrapping his arms around her, he pushed the arm rest between them aside so he could move in closer to her. Now that he was as close as possible, he allowed himself the luxury of holding her against him, his lips teasing hers before kissing her deeply, passionately.
