1. Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, which is next up at fandom_reads. I'm about a third of the way through and really enjoying it so far!

2. Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit by P.G. Wodehouse, as recommended by visitingagain.

3. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, as recommended by a colleague at work.

4. The Book of Knowledge by Doris Grumbach, because the cover caught my attention and the words "incest" and "homosexuality" in the summary sealed the deal. ;-)

Read any of them?

I'm not familiar with any of these books, but Water for Elephants sounds good from your description.

Have you read The Carnivorious Lamb? You must run to the bookstore immediately! You will love the poetic language and the themes.
