It is raining outside! We are in quite a drought here -- my parents are worrying about their well running dry -- so the pattering of the rain is a beautiful sound indeed.
The HP folks on my flist have probably already seen this, but just in case: cluegirl recently asked an incredibly evil question. You have a prophetic dream that in twenty four hours, every single HP fanfic ever written will cease to exist, all at once. As part of this dream, you are informed that you may save precisely ten of them. Ten only, not one more, and if you don't pick ten within the time limit, you'll be able to save none at all. Which ten do YOU choose?
In case you ever needed any evidence that the HP fandom is absolutely ginormous, check out all the fics that folks have posted. There's surprisingly little overlap, and there are tons of fics I've never even heard of, much less read. You can see my answers here (though I made a mistake in the list -- Lovers Alone Wear Sunlight is only rated PG-13). It was so, so, so very hard to choose only ten!
In the interest of tormenting myself, I thought it might be agonizingly painful fun to make a list of the ten QaF fics that I would save, and ask you all to share your own lists (of HP or QaF or both!). Here are mine, in no particular order, all Brian/Justin:
