YESSSS, I am SO thrilled to see someone in the flist into hockey rpf!!! yayyyyy :D Kaner/Tazer and Geno/Sid are the pairings of my HEART (and the Hawks and the Pens are my fave teams) but I also loooove Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, whether slash or gen, because THOSE TWO. Have you read Bobby Ryan/Ryan Getzlaf? There's a really great hooker!au and another one where they're step brothers that are excellent reads -- they're both the longest stories for that pairing in AO3 :D

Eeee, I'm glad to see someone else in this fandom too! I think I've seen your user name in comments or kudos on hockey stories at AO3. I love those two pairings too, although now that I'm actually watching Blackhawks games, I am cheering for them super-hard and feeling more wary about the Pens because I don't want them to spoil the Hawks' chances at the Stanley Cup. ;-) Also, SO is a huge Flyers fan, so rooting for the Penguins in our household is Not Okay.

I love hooker!AU's to a ridiculous degree. I am pretty sure I remember the one you're talking about, and the stepbrother one too. So much good fic!

Aaaaah, Get It Right, Get It Tight.

I knew your tags would be the place to look. :D See, I was into hockey years ago growing up in Canada, but then lost it while living in the U.S., and now am back Up North and it's impossible not to watch the play-offs here (lord help you if you try to call someone when a game is on, whoops), and so I'm all into it again, except have been focused on the Leafs and Sens and now Pittsburgh, and so only tonight managed to pay attention to the Blackhawks for more than two minutes, and was all, *headtilt* WHO IS THIS TOEWS WHAT I HAVE SEEN IN FANDOMY POSTS.

And then came to you for fic. And found Crosby fic instead, which, hnnnnnngh, adorable/ virginal-but-not/ post-lockout body/ ;alksjdf, yeah, that's gonna be more than a little bit up my alley.

I hope you weren't rooting too hard for the Leafs. :-/ That game 7 was the most crushing loss I've seen in a long while, ugh. I was really hoping they'd beat Boston too (because Boston is super-scary and just won a couple of years ago AND has lots of big unattractive noses, LOL). If the Hawks get eliminated, I'll probably root for Pittsburgh because Evgeni Malkin. :-D

Toews is, like, my newest fandom boyfriend. I heart him so much. ♥

Ahaha, Leafs. WTAF. Glad I was just getting back into the hockey groove at that point and had little invested. I have family in Toronto, though, and they were like, "THE ENTIRE CITY IS CRYING SO HARD OH GOD WTF." lol. That was such an epic meltdown. LEAFS! MAKE US CARE AND THEN TAKE IT ALL AWAY. D: D: D:

I'm all in for Pittsburgh now. Sidney Crosby can be my new boyfriend. :D

I could not believe we had a penalty shot! I was all, oh, man, no way Frolik is going to make a second play-off penalty shot in his career, surely? And then he NAILED it! How clutch is our wonderful little fourth-line PK specialist? *loves and loves*

Poor Leafs fans. :( They were generally pretty good though, right, especially their goalie -- perhaps a sign of good things to come next year? (Incidentally, have you seen The 20 Types of Depressed Sports Fans? The article is funny as hell, and there's a brutal video at the top of Leafs fans reacting to the progression of goals in that game. Worth watching after you read the rest of the article to see the various types of fans play out.)
