The hotel we stayed at in Coffs was GORGEOUS but that was definitely the best part. Grafton & Lismore were just boring country towns really, wouldn't have even bothered stopping there except for all the family history, we seriously spent all freakin' afternoon trawling cemetaries, laying flowers on graves etc. It was cool though, loving learning the history of the family I've married into!
Looks like quite a trip :-) Sorry to hear that Coffs Harbour wasn't so great - please say Byron Bay was as lovely as I've heard. Also, Mal's grandad was obviously some architect - that is a nice-looking church :-)
Byron Bay is amazing! I would totally live there EXCEPT for the fact that more people than any other town in Australia choose not to vaccinate their kids in Byron Bay, as it's kind of a hippy town.
The Church was awesome, but closed so we couldn't see the inside. It's certainly a nice piece of work though =)
