What is your favorite knitting memory?

It could be how you learned, your first fibers, the greatest accomplishment or comment, or just something else that's really nice and warm and fuzzy.

My favorite memory is when my husband actually sat down and said, "Teach me." I felt loved!

Aww that's so cute! One of my past boyfriends had me teach him as well, though he didn't really catch on--I was happy that he tried.

He won't knit in public, and he's been working on the same coaster for 4 months...but it was very cute, and shocking, at the same time!

My favorite memory is seeing the lace shawl that I made for my friend's wedding on her shoulders while she was getting married. I had worked hard on it, the shawl came out fabulously, and I felt extremely proud of my work that day. :)

That's so awesome that she wore it! I knit the I Do shrug for my older sister's wedding, but on her wedding day she only wore it for the ride over to the hall. She did, however, wear it throughout her honeymoon so at least I know it's appreciated. :)

It is a beautiful shrug, if a friend/sibling/person put that much effort into a wedding gift i'd probably (infact, definately) cry a little...

Knitting with my granny.
She was knitting me slippers and i was knitting her my first scarf.
I love knitting at my Granny's because it's quiet there and i get more done and also cause i like having a zen master of knitting to question when i get stuck.

Knitting becomes very zen when you have a master at hand!

My best knitting "memory" would just be countless hours and cups of coffee or bottles of wine as I've knit in the company of friends at their homes or in cafes.

A close second was when a couple of weeks ago a friend was boasting (in front of me) to another friend that I had knit her a scarf and she wore it so much she wore it out!

Yes...the countless cups of coffee...now if I had only put the coffee money towards my stash! :-P
