Maybe you're just a little burnt out right now?

There are many moments when I feel the same way you're describing. When I have to deal with a rude customer for the umpteeth time. When parents let their kids run wild throughout the library. Drives me nuts and I figure, why should I bother?

Then there are better days. I hope you get one of those soon. You are good at what you do! Maybe you just need a new challenge in the field?

I am most definitely burnt out. It is such a long season with not enough time to sleep and take care of myself.

Thank you, sarah ♥

I dont want a challenge, I want things to ease up :(

you're definitely burnt out. anything artistic like that takes its toll when you're doing it against tight deadlines day after day after day. i love being a graphic designer, i can't imagine doing anything else but at my job its the sameeeeee things every. single. day. i could design an email in my sleep. theres no passion behind what i'm designing anymore and now i know that its time to move on. not to stop being a designer but to work somewhere else. to get a fresh start. work with new people. get INSPIRED by something else. new challenges.

maybe your two months off will help you clear your head and you'll come back excited to work. or maybe you need to try something new?

either way i hope you can figure out a way to be happy at your job. i know its frustrating. <3

This. Being in theatre burnt my emotions and artistic sensibilities to a crisp, especially dealing with so many complicated personalities and their needs on a regular basis. See if you can't investigate some other careers during your break, think about what else you might like to do now if you can. As my father always says, the average person changes careers 7 times in their life. Couldn't hurt to consider something new..

you aren't in theatre anymore?

I just can't picture myself doing anything else, tbh. I have no other skills! :(
I would like to be a writer but I am content with just writing fic like the dork I am.

I will think about it though, thanks ♥ ♥

I have one foot in and one foot out. I got laid off due to budget cuts from the theatre where I was working, and it was a difficult enough season that I'm going to investigate other options for a bit. They hired me for some overhire and freelance, and it was nice to go in, do my thing, and walk out before tech started, lol. I've been working a costume retail job in the meantime, til I figure out what my next step is.

I think everybody's right... you're just burnt out. I wish things weren't so rough for you. Hopefully once you get a break some of your passion will come back. I know how much you were looking forward to painting the Peter Pan show... I hate to see you feeling like this.

Take care of yourself, please?

I'm so sorry you've lost your passion for your work. Maybe after the break you might feel a bit more rejuvenated. Do you think perhaps exploring a different artistic area for a while might mix things up for you and help you feel a little less jaded?
