I really dislike the fact that the entire internet is becoming a homogenous blob of crossposting. Finding out that Livejournal has, as I like to call it, "pulled a DeviantArt" and made it possible to link entries to Facebook and Twitter makes me rather angry

I've seen some other people post their reactions to this, and they've been similar to yours. And maaaan, I am right there with you

Ditto! I chose not to have facebook (though it was tempted listening to collegues and friends talk about their facebook and postings..). I am trying my best to protect my privacy after having been stalked by a former mental health patient. I thought I covered all basis but he had connections and got my unlisted phone number and I had to get it changed again. Having to have the hospital police escort me to and from the parking lot, etc. (mind you, this was before facebook) but the memory is still fresh and I don't want to be like a former collegue who was murdered. Not saying facebook is anything like this but I just don't want to take a chance of him or any of my patients finding my private world. That's mine and I dont' want to be violated. So, yeah, I definitely appreciate your feelings! :)
