TEAM MECHAKARA iamaman_punch June 29 2011, 05:56:25 UTC
He'd had it. Linkara was done with things going wrong, with his friends getting attacked, with the half of his problems that couldn't be attributed to the city itself going back to the robot that had followed him here like a stray and rather rabid dog, and no, he didn't want to keep him.

It was time to finish things.

"Mechakara!" Gun in hand, Linkara glanced around the street that was rapidly becoming a battlefield; just because the robot hadn't shown itself yet didn't mean it wasn't going to happen. "You're through!"

It might have been a trick of the light or it might have been an added feature of the power-up. Either way it appeared Terra might be glowing slightly or at least there were sparks of electricity in his armor that flashed as he cracked his fists. "I am always ready ( ... )

"Then let's do this."

Terra's movement barely took a split second before he was in front of Mechakara, beating the robot to within an inch of its life. It was an impressive show, just about impossible to miss, but Linkara still saw something else out of the corner of his eye - his Keyblade shining subtly, details outlined in white. He and Terra had hit on something special, working together like this, and Linkara had no doubt that it was what had lent the electric effect to Terra's armor and the speed and power to his blows.

And suddenly Mechakara was being lifted by his jacket, and Terra was calling to him. "Batter up!"

He'd been right about this. He knew exactly what to do.

Mechakara came involuntarily flying towards him. There was a split second where their eyes met, and Linkara allowed himself a split second's worth of self-satisfied, triumphant grinning. It's over, Mechakara. I win.He swung the Keyblade hard - harder than he should have been able to manage, given his staggering inexperience with it - and heard the satisfying ( ... )

Mechakara had known, the second he moved, that he was not going to come out of this fight alive. Even he, with his superior senses, hardly saw Terra move to intercept him. The robot tried to raise his hands, to fend off at least a few of the blows, but they were lightning-fast, crackling with energy, doing far more damage to metal and plastic than any human fists ought ( ... )

Terra didn't bother watching the explosion either, instead he followed Linkara's lead because the moment seemed to call for it. Already bits of the robot floated into the stratosphere and others rained from the sky on the city blocks He could already feel the effects of the morph wearing off but since it was partially tied into his own armor it seemed to be drawing from that power as well. Already, however, the white shine seemed to be dimming and Terra knew the armor form itself wouldn't last much longer, not after the abuse he had just put it through.

He pulled the helmet part off, tucking it under his arm and looking to Linkara. He wanted a better look at the keyblade because he wasn't sure if it was real or just a strange side effect of this city. "Linkara...how...? What just happened?"

After the satisfaction of that final explosion, Linkara's eyes had wandered to the Keyblade - his Keyblade, he was pretty sure, because who else used that logo? The fact that he'd somehow managed to pick up yet another weapon - one with a good deal of importance and responsibility - was just starting to sink in.

At Terra's question, he turned to face his friend, noting that the same white glow that was receding from the Keyblade was fading from Terra's armor as well. They'd been connected somehow during that last attack - he was certain of it. "I'm not sure," he replied slowly, thinking. "My guess would be backlash from too many types of magic colliding all at once somehow switched our weapons. It was pretty convenient how that all worked out, though." He paused. "Where I'm from, people call that the Rule of Cool."

He couldn't help but grin a bit. Now that the danger was over, he could appreciate just how cool that white armor looked. "How's it feel?"

"That...was pretty cool," Terra has to admit. He looks down at the armor, only now realizing that the power morpher/coin was attached to his armor where a belt might be, only it was embedded into the armor. He shakes his head though as he considers it more, "That might have been what triggered the reaction, but the Keyblade wouldn't have stayed with you if it hadn't chosen you as a wielder."

Linkara didn't seem to be taking this very seriously though. In fact, he seemed amused by the whole thing which sort of bothered Terra. He knew this was a bigger problem, but he wasn't sure how to explain it to Linkara. Of course, he was then distracted by Linkara's question and Terra paused to consider the armor and power-up again. "Stronger and faster, mostly. More so than what I would usually get with my armor in its normal state." He paused and couldn't help but smile, "It feels good really." Plus, he looked like a white knight or something and that was ALWAYS cool in Terra's books considering how often he'd played at knights as a

And suddenly things made a whole lot of sense. It was one thing to pick up a weapon and quite another to have it choose you - something Linkara was slowly starting to realize he'd have to come to terms with. "That would explain why it looks like this, yeah," he muttered.

The smile was right back on his face when Terra talked about the power-up and admitted that it was - duh - cool. "Looks like the Morpher likes you," Linkara commented, looking the white armor up and down. "And of course you'd be a knight in shining armor."

It would have been one thing if the keyblade in Linkara's hand had looked anything like Ends of the Earth but it was an unfamiliar design as far as Terra was concerned. Linkara seemed familiar with its form which only further proved Terra's thoughts, after all the keyblade chose its wielder and took ques from its wielder as to the shape and style it should take. You could change it, of course, with the application of keychains but that was not the case here Terra thought.

Another thought surfaced as well, one that caused Terra's smile to falter slightly: 'The Master is going to be very unhappy about this.'

He shuddered but looked up when Linkara commented on the armor again. "I guess...I wasn't entirely sure it would work...but I guess it modified the armor I already possessed."
