Justine laughed, looking over her shoulder. It wasn't very often that office building receptionists flirted, but this one was doing fine, and she rewarded him with one more smile before walking out the door, eyes and attention on her purse as she was going through it to reach her phone to call the driver, as the next errand would only take a drop-off, and then she would be ready to return to Chateau Raith and the afternoon office duties.

The bout of nausea was a little unexpected at this hour, but not too much so, she stilled and closed her eyes, breathing deeply until it passed - which was rather faster than she was used to - and then her hand closed around the phone and she looked ahead to cross the street.

Except there was no street in front of her.

She blinked, looking at the trees of a park which wasn't supposed to be there, then turned back to the building, frowning - except the sleek structure of glass and concrete was missing, too. But there was something else that she recognized, even if she, technically, hadn't spent time at the Millennium Park in years.

"Well. That's not where I was supposed to be, at any rate." Slightly irritated, and she only spoke out loud because she didn't see anybody else.

She finished taking out her phone, but the elaborate colorful screen looked scrambled, and nothing she did changed that. So she sighed the long-suffering sigh of somebody used to technological glitches and started walking slowly towards the edge of the square, in the direction of the nearest street, while her fingers started prying the back of the device open. Taking the battery out usually managed a reset.

Then she froze for a moment, the click of her heels against the pavement quieting to leave mostly the sound of wind in the trees.

Why weren't there people around the cloud gate? That thought chilled her more than the wind that picked up right then. Which was colder than it was supposed to be, too.

Silver-white hair swung around her face as Justine looked up, then slowly turned around herself to take better stock of what was going on.
