Knight Rider, oh my. I once went to an auto show and they had the Knight Rider car on display, it was when the show was pretty hot, I watched it. I think I was the only one to notice that the car on display was a standard transmission, it had a clutch. On the TV show, whenever they showed K.I.T.T. shifting itself, it was an automatic transmission car.
I think that may have been the same show that had the Monkeemobile on display and I got to meet Micky Dolenz.
There's been talk of it for years. Like, since the show went off the air in 1986. (Yeah, I'm a geek.)
But with the recent explosion of remakes, it doesn't surprise me that this is among them. Of course, the technology will have to totally outdo the old show. For instance, among other things KITT had TV screens that could show maps and actually pinpoint your location on them! Amazing! Oh, wait, any GPS can do that now.
But you HAVE to keep turbo boost. I mean, ya gotta.
You may not have noticed that there is a commercial featuring robots over the ages, from Robbie to the maid from the Jetson's and ending with KITT. I don't remember what they were selling, but I remember the commercial.
