oo. that's our sister Jesuit parish in PJ. Their priests come and visit us now and then. Years ago my friends went up to present a church musical there too, but i didn't join them, so i've never actually seen the place.

we have an SFX in singapore too. and because i learnt about that SFX before I was old enough to be interested in cinema craft, for me it's the other way round when people write SFX meaning sound i think of the Jesuit Saint!

the monstrance (from the word "demonstrate") is a different thing .. it is a free standing "holder" of the blessed sacrament which is used for exposition of the host.

the round thing in the pic is actually the "tabernacle" which is like a small little cupboard where the blessed sacrament/consecrated host/divine presence/holy eucharist (all the same thing, just different names) is kept in the church.

Its presence in the tabernacle is indicated when the red light (to the left) or some other altar lamp (oil or candle) is on.
