I head to the coffee cart and grab two coffees and two muffins. I spotted Alex at the nurses station a few minutes ago and I bet he is still there. Sometimes I feel like part of my job at work is to make sure he eats or something, when I remember

"Hey," I murmur, quickly scribbling someone in a chart. I slap it closed and turn to her. "How are you?" I bend down to press a quick kiss against her lips.

I return his kiss and put the muffin and the coffee down next to his pile of charts.

"I'm fine, how are you?"

"Fine. King's kicking me out tonight, so I'll be home."

[dr_mergrey]

"That'll be nice. Order in?"
