You could also try space city mixer, they have a lot of events or facebook has a Seattle anti freeze events group. There's also tons of events around the city. Check thestranger.com

if you want to meet people you should join a club of some sort.

like to hike? try the mountaineers.

check out meetup.com and find some activity you are interested in.

take a cooking class.

etc.

There's also MeetInSeattle - http://www.meetin.org/city/meetinseattle

It's like Meetup except that instead of joining 37000 different groups, all events are posted on a common calendar.
