This is beautiful, and sad, and still beautiful because of and despite the sadness. I may of cried a little in public over it. Thank you for sharing.

Aw! I'm (not) sorry. :) the_moonmoth's story last round had me publicly bawling sniffling in the library, so public cryage is about the best compliment there is. Thank you!

The wind picks up, scattering ash, and with a strangled cry, Buffy falls to her knees.

Yes. If it happened, this is what it would be like. Absolutely devastating. Well done!

The lack of body to cling to would be pretty traumatic, I'd think. :( Thank you!!

Terrific - it's a wonderful and very effective combination of grief and loss but yet we know that they were also together sharing their lives - especially meaningful with the anniversary of Chosen coming May 20 -

Heh, yes, it's a bit like I cheated and skipped to the sad end of their long and happy life together. Amazing how such an 'old' TV show can still inspire.

Thank you!

Heartbreakingly well done. And really, just as possible as the other way around. Good job.

To me, vampires seem the more fragile. A bit of stray wood or sun, and bam. It just awful to contemplate either of them dying first, though. :(

Thank you!

Gah! I'm officially terror stricken by what you might write if you wanted the angsty and the sad.

"No" brain was right, tho. This is a strong piece of imagery. It's also quite true that I rarely think about them going that way. Well done!

Your "No" brain keep cracking me up. :) I try to write happy, because angst seems to be my default, but it never quite works out. Bad brain!

Thank you!
