Giles taking the decision out of Buffy's hands, again, is completely aggravating. It's no wonder he was uneasily looking over his shoulder at the church door.
The entire church scene was emotional and vivid, and Buffy being completely unaware of the turmoil happening just feet away made it all the more heart hurting. I loved Spike watching Buffy emerge here: He was grasping her hand, Spike knew, recognised even that insignificant part of her, his throat closing with emotion as the hand became an arm, a shoulder…a slender neck. Her face. Poor, love sick vampire.
Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed, and thanks for commenting. This fic had me all over the place. The angst was chewing me up, then comedy kept trying to seduce me, but I held fast. I'm delighted you commented on the lines above; I sniffled a little as I was writing them. Thanks again.
