Last night, the town officials of Middletown New Jersey screwed up. They have a really nice library. This place had plenty of parking, a coffee area, computers, current magazines and all the things one wants in a library. It's accessible from Route 35. Stanley Dancer was a famous jockey in the 1960-1980’s. I don’t follow horse racing, so I wasn’t aware of who he was. He’s buried in Freehold NJ. Off Route 537 is an old cemetery. I got the Best of John Coltrane on CD a few years ago. “Love Supreme” opens with this full blast of horn and continues with smooth sounds, blasts, smoothness and blasts. It sounded almost as frenetic as heavy metal. There was this underlying melody and calmness. The whole CD can be frantic at times, and incredibly mellow too ( Read more... )

Around 11:40pm on December 31st, I flipped through channels to find what New Year's show to watch. I didn't want to watch Ryan Seacrest and I had no interest in Jenny McCarthy on Channel 7. Heckle & Jeckel were animated magpies featured in cartoons starting in 1946. I looked them up on Wikipedia and Youtube because Channel 11 in New York used to run their cartoons on Saturday mornings.
