You know... I feel kind of the same, re: anime. I'm just not into the shows everyone else is into and I'm not into new shows and I'm more disconnected from anime fandom as a whole than I ever have been. I've become the crazy old lady anime fan, always talking about old shows no one remembers or cares about anymore. I think I could get into Reborn or Gurren Lagann or something, but I don't want to spend all that time watching the episodes or reading the manga chapters. (But then again, I'm sure if someone sent me a steady supply of good fic, I would have some incentive and would read/watch. which just shows what a loser I am, I guess, haha.)

And god, be thankful you're not a Narutard like everyone else. It's such an easy path to follow, but that way is full of darkness and despair.

Are you running Firefox 3? You might want to search to see if other people have had the same problem or if it's a known issue that Mozilla (may they live forever) is working on.

Next you say a good thing about Apple, I kill you. =P

I run Vista & have no problem with FF--I run 2 on one computer and 3 on my laptop. What version are you running? Have you turned off Vista's firewalls?

I'm running 2 and yeah, Vista's firewalls I've turned off, it's goddamn Norton I can't seem to reign in. I swear to God, I've turned off phishing protection eight different ways, yet when I open FF or IE it still says that its on. I can only imagine the bitchiness I would incite trying to turn off its Firewalls. Halp. :(

It's Danielle. Not logged on.

What version of Norton are you running? I can't check now, since I'm not home, but I'll look through the program once I am, see if I can figure out the issue since I have Norton, too.
