I agree with you completely on your rating for Mina Daisuki. I can't stand the level selection which is probably why I've hardly played it. The music isn't really that bad but there are a couple songs that are awful *coughkurukururockcough!* & they seem to be the ones most often played on random song seleciton.

Less talking & more rolling, your highness. My "X" button is wearing out.

Oh, that too -- he really crossed the line from charmingly gross to totally annoying prick in that game.

I actually enjoyed We Love more than the original.

Me & My doesn't look like it's going to be up to the same level as the other two and as far as a release on the DS, it doesn't look good.

This has been a message brought to you by your freindly neighborhood GameStop employee <3

GameStop, eh? Let me get two things out of the way, as one former-retail worker to a current one:

"...that means it's free, right?"
"Can I use your discount?"

Anyway, I can't find any information for the DS one other than it was announced.

What I really want to know is what DS game that AM2 (or at least Yu Suzuki) made that was described as "Shenmue, without all the pointless wandering around". I guess it was just released in Japan.

I think the DS Katamari was announced then cancelled, but I could be wrong. I think it would do better on the DS than the PSP.
As far as DS games go, I'm lookign forward to the new Mario Bros. game coming out in May. Not to mention the DS Lite. Nnngh.

Nintento fangirl numero uno, signing off~

Wouldn't surprise me, although I would think control would be easier on the DS. The PSP only has that one nub, so you have to use the face buttons as the other directional stick. True, the DS also only has one analog input, bur at least you could use the directional pad or something.

Well, it helps to shop around a bit. I was able to pre-order Me and My Katamari from outpost.com for $25 shipped not to mention tax free. cheapassgamer.com is a great resource for finding some great deals ( ... )

Ditto on the getting Me and My Katamari for $25 shipped at Outpost.com. Also, I got Chibi Robo for under $30 shipped at Overstock.com, but it seems like the price has gone back up now.

And I figured it was you who bought that other copy of Powered Up today, after they told me they had three left in stock (and had to fetch one from the back for me). I was right!

I just went out today and nabbed We Love Katamari. That thing is impossible to find now, but I located it and Meteos in the same store. It's hard to justify buying a 360 game when I can get two for the same price...

Anyway, the guy asked me if I has a PSP, because he wanted me to pre-order Me & My Katamari or something. I brought up several of these points, and he admitted the thing about the controls that I mentioned in one of the comments above.

Mostly, though, the point I mean to make is that I love Meteos.

I think that since I bought We Love Katamari before ever even playing Katamari Damasy I have an objectivity that most fans of the series don't. That being said, how in the hell could you think that Katamari Damaci has better music than We Love Katamari? I didn't even think that We Love Katamari had very good music, but Katamari Damaci's music is freaking BORING. It is awful, bad, shitty, boring.

Something else you neglected to mention about WLK over KD is that the play control is tight like prom night compared to the loose suggestions of movement that are Katamari Damacy. Not to mention that the slightest touch, the merest graze of the Katamari against anything, be it cockroach or skyscraper, will send a quarter of your collection flying off to the nether reaches of space in the first instalment.

BOO on Katamari Damacy. BOO I SAY.

What were we talking about?

I think those handheld versions are actually cheaper. They're just more expensive 'cause they're older. It's rare that a new console game be more expensive than a new portable game.

No no no no, those are their original list prices. The original Katamari was never more than $20.

Although you make a good point -- they probably feel confident people will pay more for the title (no matter the quality or poor play control) because they loved the console games. When Katamari first came out, it was totally unproven.

Weird. I guess new console games varie in price whle new handheld games are generally around the same amount. But generally the games that are aroudn the 30-40$ price are usually ports (collection titles and such).
