It has been almost a year since the last Max Update, wherein I blogged about his wacky thyroid, getting his weight back up, and getting him to take the damned pills twice a day. He continues to take the pills twice a day, but for some reason swore off Pill Pockets about six months ago. Because I am a clever human, I found a substitute: cheese! A ( Read more... )

Oh, don't worry about it. When the time comes, I will produce the money from somewhere. There are always other things that can be set aside for now.

I think Dave's wet head is one of those mysteries of the universe that should stay unsolved.

As for poor Max, I am sorry he is a tubby kitty, but I think ultimately, that's loads better than the skin and bones he was (and it's not the cheese, pinheads!).

I'm starting to think that vets are really, really wealthy. We've dumped hundreds into the diabetic cat and the dog with the boo-boo on her nose. The vets know we love the furbabies and sometimes, they are just overzealous. When I take GMinor to the doctor, more often than not, they send us home with instructions to wait and see if it gets any worse. That *never* happens at the vets. We *always* end up with some medication that costs $150.

Ugh. But what can you do? We love the furbabies.
